There are lots of e-bike brands to choose from, but Arizona-based LECTRIC Ebikes is one of the fastest growing companies out there. They achieved this by offering the best e-bike value for your dollar and providing good support.
The LECTRIC XP 3.0, XPEAK, and XP LITE are the most popular LECTRIC eBike models. Having ridden all three, I can say that each model has something unique to offer. There is clearly no BEST model and there are trade-offs to consider.

Ranges will vary significantly based on rider/cargo weight, terrain, speed, and throttle use. Many people ride these on throttle-only.
An optional long-range battery can increase the range by 45 percent, but extended range batteries are only available for the XP 3.0 models (and new LECTRIC ONE) .
Top Speed
The XP LITE top speed is 20 miles an hour on both pedal assist and throttle. The XP 3.0 and XPEAK can reach a 28 mile-per-hour top speed when Class 3 mode is enabled.
Model and Color Options
The XP 3.0 and XPEAK models are available in either a standard or step-through model. Color options will vary.
The XP 3.0 Standard model is only available in black, while the XP 3.0 step-through model is available in black or white. XPEAK Step-Through and High-Step models come in white and grey respectively.
The XP LITE is the most stylish of the LECTRIC line-up with four color options to choose from.
Motor
The XP LITE provides 300 Watts of continuous power with a 720 Watt peak rated motor. The XP 3.0 has a 500 Watt continuous rated motor with 800 Watt peak power. XPEAK has the most powerful motor (750W / 1350 Peak) for all-terrain riding.
All three models have rear-hub motors and LECTRIC’s Pedal Assist Watt Regulation (PWR) programming for a smoother pedal assist experience. XPEAK also includes Stealth M24 technology which makes the motor 400% quieter than other models.
Battery
The battery in the XP LITE is the smallest at 375 Watt hours (Wh). The XP 3.0 has a larger 460 Wh battery and an optional 670 Wh battery upgrade available. The larger XPEAK comes with a 672 Wh semi-integrated battery that is easily swappable.
Transmission
The XP LITE is a single-speed bike with no transmission. Both the XP 3.0 and XPEAK have a 7-speed transmission.
Brakes
The XP LITE has mechanical disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes are included on the XP 3.0 and XPEAK model.
Suspension
The XP LITE has no suspension while the XP 3.0 and XPEAK come with a hydraulic front suspension for a softer ride on rougher terrain. XPEAK has a premium RST Renegade front suspension fork with up to 80mm of travel.
Tire Size
XP LITE and XP 3.0 models have a smaller 20 inch front and rear wheel, but the XPEAK has 26 inch wheels.
The XP LITE is the smallest bike with thinner two inch tires. The XP 3.0 has three inch wide all-terrain tires. The XPEAK comes with four inch all-terrain fat tires.
Bike Weight
As its name suggests, the XP LITE is the lightest of the ebikes weighing in at 46 lbs. The XP 3.0 weighs in at 64 lbs compared to the 67 lb XPEAK. All of these weights include the weight of the battery. To decrease the weight during transport, simply remove the battery.
Rider/Cargo Weight
The XP LITE can support riders and cargo up to 275 lbs. Both the XP 3.0 and XPEAK have a 330 lb rider/cargo load capacity. The reinforced rear-rack on the XP 3.0 can also support passengers weighing up to 150lbs with the optional passenger accessory.
Which Model Do You Choose?
LECTRIC XP LITE
The LECRIC XP LITE is the model to consider if you want a quality ebike that’s highly portable. With a 30 mile range, this is a great light-weight ebike for getting around town or exploring.
At $799 this is the most affordable LECTRIC ebike. But the XP LITE is not cheaply made. LECTRIC has downgraded some of the components found on the XP 2.0/3.0 to reduce weight and fit the smaller frame. They’ve also removed the transmission making it a single-speed bike.
When riding with Pedal Assist (PA) the lack of gears actually makes the XP LITE a very capable and easy to ride ebike.
Great For Shorter Rides on Hard Surfaces
This is an easy to handle ebike for exploring around town or buzzing around a National Park. At 46 pounds, it’s the easiest LECTRIC ebike to lift and transport. Seriously consider the XP LITE if you see yourself taking shorter rides on mostly paved roads or smooth packed surfaces with an occasional hill.
The Most Stylish LECTRIC eBike
Aside from its minimalistic feature set, the XP LITE also comes in four colors while the XP 3.0 and XPremium come in only white or black. I like the Desert Sand color and Melissa prefers White, but you could also get your XP LITE in LECTRIC Blue or Black.
LECTRIC XP 3.0 Folding eBike
The LECTRIC XP 3.0 is the third generation of the popular XP line released in 2021. It is the successor to the best selling XP 2.0 eBike from LECTRIC. At $999 the XP 3.0 offers the best overall ebike value for the price.
Well Suited for Most Types of Riding
Whether you’re taking a short ride into town or a long ride on a dirt road, these bikes with get you there and back comfortably. The comfort package upgrade is definitely recommended for longer rides.
Just make sure you can handle the weight. At 64 pounds the XP 3.0 can be difficult to handle even when folded. If the weight is too much for you to lift in/out of a vehicle or onto a bike rack, consider the XP LITE instead.
The Best Bang For Your Buck
Compare this model to other folding ebikes that cost hundreds more and you’ll see why it’s very popular. Most of the popular add-ons you’ll want are included as base components. This includes an oil front suspension, front/rear metal fenders, and integrated luggage rack that can support 150 pounds of cargo.
UPDATE: As of June 2023, the XP 3.0 now comes with Hydraulic Disc Brakes and a Pedal-assist Wattage Regulation (PWR) module that improves acceleration, range and efficiency. LECTRIC is offering a Hydraulic Brake upgrade kit for existing XP 3.0 owners. Watch this video showing the entire hydraulic brake upgrade which you do yourself.
A powerful hub motor on the XP 3.0 can surge up to 1000 watts to get you up to speed and over those hills. With the the optional passenger add-on kit the XP 3.0 will support a 150 pound passenger.
The 461 Wh / 9.6 Ah battery on the XP 3.0 is sufficient for every day riding. I’ve seen an average 30-40 miles on a single charge with a mix of terrain and throttle usage.
Upgrade The Battery For More Range: LECTRIC now has a long-range battery option for the XP 3.0 ebike models. The upgraded 672 Wh / 14 Ah battery can add 45% more range on a single charge. Visit LECTRIC website for details.
LECRIC XPEAK eBike
The XPEAK is LECTRIC’s first full-frame non-folding eBike built for demanding all-terrain use. You do NOT have to be off-road to enjoy this bike though. The off-roading equipment and upgrades on XPEAK (e.g. RST Renegade suspension and 26″ fat-tires) also make it a versatile, stable, safe, and fun ebike for everyday use.
XPEAK has also been eMTB safety tested in accordance with ISO 4210-10 for all-terrain use. The powertrain also carries a UL 2849 listing to ensure the battery and power components are safe.
Other notable features included are removable pedals and front through-axle. These two features alone make assembly and disassembly a breeze. This is important because XPEAK is not a folding bike. Removing the front wheel and pedals makes transporting XPEAK manageable.
Finally, you will barely notice the HUB motor on this bike and neither will others around you. The stealthy motor is super quiet (400% quieter than other models).
At $1,299 it is priced pretty well for a premium ebike with these features. Most ebikes with similar components sell for $2,000 and up.

Still Undecided?
All three LECTRIC ebike models offer something unique. If you’re still not sure which LECTRIC ebike to get though, consider getting a LECTRIC XP 3.0 Standard model. It has the best balance of quality add-ons and value. You can even get more range with the XP 3.0 by purchasing the long-range battery option (previously not available). For the price, it’s still the best buy for your buck.
